Cecil Edward Perkey, age 88, of Galion passed away Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Avita Galion Hospital.
Born February 23, 1936 in Jewel Ridge, Virginia, he was the son of Robert and Ethel (Dye) Perkey. He married Wilma (Lowe) Perkey on December 22, 1961 and she survives.
Cecil worked for the former Galion Iron Works for 38 years. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, camping, swimming and working on his Cadillacs.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by son James Edward (Teresa) Perkey of Texas; grandsons, Jason Cecil (Ellen) Perkey and Christopher James (Rachel) Perkey, all of Texas; great grandchildren, Reese, Harper, Bethany and Danielle Perkey; daughter-in-law Ginny Perkey and special friend Tammy Buck.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son Dennis Cecil Perkey and ten brothers and sisters.
At Cecil's request, no services will be held.
