Douglas Hunt, of Galion passed away Saturday June 22, 2024 at OSU Medical Center in Columbus.
Born March 10, 1961 in Columbus, he was the son of William and Phyllis (Dughman) Hunt. He married Jayne Talbott on December 29, 2007 and she survives.
Doug was a graduate of Clear Fork High School and worked for UPS for 29 years before retiring in 2008. He attended Grace Baptist Church in Crestline. He was passionate about sports and coached baseball and Softball to younger kids at Clear Fork, Mansfield Christian and Galion and high school girls' softball at Galion. He coached the Galion Girls Softball Team to Regionals in 2018 and 2019 and won the Crawford County Coach of the year in 2019. He was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout and therefore mentored Cub Scouts and enjoyed working with their Pinewood Derby. He had many interests including sailing, motor boating, skiing, working on tractors and various projects. He loved to play corn hole and organize corn-hole tournaments which fueled his competit
