Robert Lee Ervin, age 87, of Galion, OH, passed away peacefully in his home with his loving family by his side after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. On June 24, 2024 Bob joined the love of his life, Shirley, in his heavenly home.
Robert was the son of the late John and Mildred (James) Ervin. He was born in Los Angeles, California on December 21, 1936 and returned to Blooming Grove, OH at the early age of one. Bob was raised in Bucyrus and attended school in North Robinson. While still in high school, he met Shirley (Eusey) Ervin and the pair would be together for 67 amazing years.
Robert and Shirley were joined in marriage on December 11, 1955 and soon after built their home together near Galion where they raised three children and lived inseparable for 61 years. Together they attended St. Paul Lutheran Church where they remained active. Over the years Bob served on church council, taught Sunday school, and also sang in the choir, which he enjoyed.
