Kenneth "Smokin' Joe" Moss passed away Thursday June 27, 2024 from Avita in Galion. He was 73 years old.
He was born July 16, 1950 to parents Hobert & Vercia (Hudnall) Moss in Montgomery, West Virginia. It was in March of 1973 that he married Beverly Jenkins and the two spent 51 wonderful years together.
Kenneth was a hard worker. He worked in the coal mines for many years before taking a job with General Motors and working there and giving it his all until he was unable.
In younger years he enjoyed hunting and doing some wood crafting but Smokin' Joe was truly an excellent musician. He learned much of what he did by ear. He played many different instruments over the years. He even played in a band called The Exiles who were out of Charleston, West Virginia. His wife would drive him to the gigs that the band had so he would be able to play with them. He was a happy, jolly guy and he was always singing as music really was the love of his life.
He is survived by his loving wife
