Marjorie Young, 85, of Bucyrus, passed peacefully on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at Carlisle Place.She was born July 17, 1939 in New Washington, to the late Charles H. and Mary E. (Zornes) Young and was a 1957 graduate of Lykens High School. She spent many years working at General Electric and retired in 1994.Marjorie loved being outdoors, where she was often found tending to her flowers and saw to it that her home was neat and tidy. Marjorie shared many travels with family and friends and saw some fascinating sights over her lifetime. Music was also a very important part of her life. She was a member of the Statler Brothers Fan Club and was fortunate to see them in concert on countless occasions as well as various other musicians. Several years ago, Marjorie took up painting and for the most part was self-taught. She painted on canvas, serving trays, bowls and glassware and much of which became gifts for family and friends.
