David E. Burt, 79, passed away August 19, 2024 at Ohio Health Mansfield. He was born on September 22, 1944 in Galion, OH.
David joined the Army National Guard and then after becoming a Police Officer, then Morrow County Dog Warden and active as Morrow County Washington TWP Trustee.
He was a member of Bass Anglers Sportsman Society, an active member at Pleasant Grove Church; he enjoyed cooking, and spending time at his farm.
He rejoins his wife, Joan Burt (Eater); parents, Lowell Wellington Burt and Margaret Eleanor Burt (Furnish); sister, Peggy Dye; brother, Lowell Burt.
David leaves behind to cherish his memory his brother-in-law, Roger Dye; very special friends, Steven McCown, wife Ronda and their son, Logan; as well as many close friends.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Iberia Cemetery.
Full military honors will be conducted by the United States and the Galion Crestline Veterans Military Funeral Detail.
