Edward L. Kyger, 82, of Galion passed peacefully in Ashland on Friday, March 21, 2025.
Ed was born on February 6, 1943, in Harrisonburg, Virginia to the late Lyle Kyger and Annie (Raynes) Raines. On January 28, 1968, Ed married the love of his life, Gayle Curry. Gayle would proceed Ed in death on May 15, 2011.
Ed answered his nation's call and honorably served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. His dedication to his country was a reflection of his deep sense of duty and commitment to others. He was a proud veteran and member of the American Legion Scarbrough Post 243.
Ed had a great heart and he was known as a giver, a man of extraordinary faith, and always found a way to lift others with his humor and kindness. His generous spirit and unwavering positivity touched the lives of all who knew him.
A master carpenter by trade, Ed built a successful career in construction, including owning and operating K&K Roofing and later working for Fire Restoration Co. His skil
